They say
Dead men tell no tales
But if ever I were to tell a tale
There is only one tale worth telling
A tale that would never leave my lips
I would tell the story
Of The Man I encountered
In a place no one would expect
To meet A Man of His Stature
He caused me to turn
He told me
His Name is Love
His Face, it shines brighter than the sun
His Face lit up my countenance
His Eyes, they are flames of fire
They rekindled the spark in my own gaze
They lit up my bones, my bosom, my heart
His Hands, they carry healing
He lifted me, carried me in His Wings
His Wings, they are imbued with healing
He loved me without reservation
He gave me His Life
And with His Life
He gave me a new Name
And suddenly, as day follows night
His Day broke out after my night
Suddenly,
The sun felt warm against my skin again
Reminding me of His Glorious Splendour
At the break of dawn
Suddenly
The morning breeze
Carried a reminder of His Promises
Suddenly, the flowers started to bloom again
They mirrored The Life He planted inside me
Suddenly
The leaves, they started to sway again
They radiated His Peace
The birds, they started to chirp again
They sang of Him too
Suddenly
The world around me
Started to spin again
He restored its color
Everything started to speak of Him
For Him, I would die
Infinite times over
For when I die
He lives in Me
And I wouldn’t have it
Absolutely any other way.
